American-Style Pound Cakes

Date:
Time:

Pound cake has been a favorite in both the U.S and the U.K. for over two centuries. They were often known as loaf cakes that were baked by our mothers, our grandmothers, and our great-grandmothers. Away with those commercial so-called pound cakes, in our workshop, we start entirely from scratch using the finest, all-natural ingredients. No mixes. No preservatives. No short cuts. Each and every cake is carefully mixed and baked by hand to create the finest, very dense, very moist, and beautiful to serve to…well, just to anyone. Whether you serve it unadorned to accompany afternoon tea or dress it up as an after-dinner dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (or whipped cream) and a few berries or orange & lemon sections, you can’t go wrong.
