BIRTHDAY CAKES Hands-On Workshop


Date: Saturday, 08 November
Time: 9.30am – 12.30pm

If you intend to make a special birthday cake for your loved ones, you need two important traits – Love and Imagination. Our workshop combines both practically-based of core baking & decorating techniques and methods with tried and tested advice, tips and tricks honed in the course. You will definitely receive the “oohs and aahs” around the office and at home when your colleagues and loved ones respectively, find out “you made that”! It is magical that you can do these cakes at the comfort of your own home. Well as we often say, when love and imagination work together, expect a masterpiece.

Course Outline
This is a hands-on workshop. All participants will have their own cakes to work on. Participants will be involved in food preparation as well as washing of utensils.

Strawberry Delight Cake – There is an elegant cake that is irresistible cake that perfectly suits every tastes and occasions. Tempt and dazzle friends and family with it.

Queen of Chocolate Cake – Legend says to feast on this delectable treat. Anything chocolate makes a great special treat for this special “someone” for his/her birthday. (please refer to photo of our students’ work)

HONEY BAKED HAM Hands-On Workshop


Date: Friday, 07 November
Time: 7.30pm – 10pm


Course Outline
This is a hands-on workshop. All participants will work in pairs and be involved in the food preparation as well as washing of utensils.

Honey Baked Ham with home-made sauce - Well if you are in for baked ham, this one is a really good one. You will learn the technique to enhance the taste of the ham, scoring the ham and how to make the serving sauce. You will never want to buy a commercial one after this. Liquor will be used. (please refer to photo of our students’ work)

Christmas Suji Cake – Have this wonderful suji cake with a twist from the original suji cake this Christmas. This cake will be decorated to suit the Christmas festive.

Workshop Cost - $70 (if you register after Tuesday 04 November)

Repeat Due to Popular Demand - Tarts-My-Day Pastry Hands-On Workshop



Date: Friday 24 October
Time: 7.30pm – 10pm


Tarts have been becoming increasingly popular over the last few years. They're perfect for those of us who are concerned about portion control. You can satiate your sweet tooth without overindulging with the bite sized tartlets. Come relax, learn and have a great time in our workshop making dainty and delectable tarts. They are simply irresistible!!

Workshop Details:
Learn to make 2 types of pastries:
1. Crispy Pastry (Taiwanese Pastry)
2. Almond Pastry

Four Different Types of Tarts:
1. Taiwanese-Style Portuguese Egg Tarts (Photo attached)
2. Blueberry Cheese Tarts (Photo attached)
3. Fresh Fruits Tarts
4. Black Magic Hazelnut Tarts

Workshop Notes
Participants are expected to work in groups in weighing ingredients, washing utensils etc. Each participant will, most of the time, have their own cake to work on and very often are encourage to create their own designed cakes . During the workshop, you may be required to take down notes and tips for baking. Participants may have to bring along an apron. After the lessons, participants would bring home their own masterpieces.

A note book and pen
Apron
Tupperwares

Participants will be provided with:
All ingredients and recipes
All materials needed for the cake course
